Getting Started with Automation and AI
This is for business owners and store managers that have a good team and something good to sell. It doesn’t really matter if it’s flooring tile, flowers, fighter planes or light fixtures. If you have a good product and a good team to deliver it and service it, you should be able to do so and make a good profit.
If you’re a business owner or a manager you know that there is always something that makes it remarkably difficult to get the profit you want and deliver the consistent level of service that you want. The complications and their solutions are as varied as there are different shops and businesses throughout the country. But I believe that every business can grow better by using automation and AI tools.
Every problem facing small businesses can be improved and many can be solved by correctly implementing automation and/or AI tools. Communication, time management, hiring, setting company policies, setting financial policies, bookkeeping, marketing, sales, pricing, product selection and everything else can be made more efficient and more manageable by using automation and AI tools.
In the next few articles I’d like to show use cases for automation and AI tools for operations, finance, and sales. I’m going to focus first on operations. For the sake of clarity, I want to define operations as the part of the business focusing on delivering the products and services a client has already paid for or agreed to pay for or the part of the business focused on maintaining the inventory of products or service providers necessary to deliver those products and services to paying customers.
These are the software products I will focus on for this exercise:
- AirTable
- HubSpot
- ChatGPT
- Replit.com
- ClickUp
Let’s get started.
